Do I need to drill into the floor to install a Design Unfix post?
Yes, each Design Unfix floor socket is fitted once by drilling and screwing into the ground, like any durable fixture. Once the socket is installed, the post clips in and lifts out freely, with no further drilling.
Does the post come off its socket easily?
Yes. Once the socket is installed, the Design Unfix post clips in and lifts out without tools, as often as needed. A flat aluminium cap covers the socket opening whenever no post is in place.
What finishes are available in the Design Unfix range?
The range comes in 6 finishes - matte black, silver, lacquered white, burgundy, champagne and brushed stainless steel - to match your reception, boutique or event space.
Is the rope included with the post?
No, the rope is sold separately. It is available in 6 colours - black, grey, white, burgundy, blue and cream - with a chrome or gold-finish hook.
What is the difference between Design Unfix and the classic Design range?
The classic Design range uses a weighted base with no drilling, which can be moved around freely. The Design Unfix range requires a socket to be screwed in beforehand, but then lets you remove and refit the post without tools whenever the walkway needs to be cleared.
